We welcome you to Newdon Care Services,


We are a care agency based in York, Leeds and Doncaster. We recruit carers locally and we have a dedicated, professional team to deliver the best of care for you or your loved one. We provide single or double carers depending on the level of care requested by commissioners of your care.

It is our aim that all service users will be treated with care, dignity, respect and sensitivity, which matches individual needs and abilities. Our service will be delivered in a flexible manner, within the limitations of the service, in an attentive and non-discriminatory manner with respect for independence, privacy and the individual’s right to make informed choices. We will respect the needs and values of Service users in matters of religion, beliefs, culture, race, ethnic origin and sexuality.

Our staff will encourage all service users to maintain where possible their social and cultural links within the community and encourage participation in activities. We will encourage our Service users to be fully involved in our service provision, so that all can continue their lives with dignity and independence. Newdon Care is committed to meeting the needs of those people entrusted to our support. Usually we see no conflict between meeting the needs of service users and those of workers. Where such conflict exists, the needs of Service users must take precedence.

Resource-Covid-19 During the COVID-19 outbreak we acknowledge that the needs of your loved one / yourself may change and we will continue to meet those needs. Be rest assured our carers will always prioritize your safety and well being. While our services are there to improve their daily lives, We are very confident that all our service users can rely on our extreme diligence in taking every possible precaution when delivering any form of care and can be confident that our help is only a phone call away if we are needed. We will be continuously taking measures to ensure that your health, and the health of the members on the team are not compromised during this pandemic. Examples of these measures include: All carers will be wearing a suitable amount of PPE which comprises​ Single use disposable gloves Single use disposable apron Type IIR fluid resistant surgical mask Eye protection (based on risk assessment) It would be very helpful if you could notify us about any changes in your health and if you are showing COVID-19 symptoms.so the necessary steps can be taken to prevent infection.. Improving Care In A Home Care Setting Admin Care Service Providers Regulating the care we provide in different settings is important to us at Newdon Care. This allows us to identify what we can do to improve care in your home. This article will entail what steps we as a service provider company are currently taking to improve care. According to The King’s Fund, “4/5 care services currently are judged ‘good’ by the CQC” .A a lot of service users may not understand what these ratings mean , so this could lead to the service users not having a clear idea of what to expect from each of the care service providers. This means that care service providers should improve the way they communicate with service users , this can be through the use of a blog , leaflets or regular newsletters to make sure that service users are aware of the possible changes to their care. Carers Improving communication is not only important between care service providers and care service users,but it is also extremely important that great communication is maintained between care service providers, carers and care service users in all directions. We at Newdon care maintain communication frequently with carers ,using a system in which the carers can update the care service providers on the well being of each of the care service users. In order for this communication to be maintained carers must ensure that they post updates on the system after every visit they carry out, to ensure that the care service providers are kept in the loop, regarding the relationship between carers and care service users ,and most importantly how the care service user is doing and feels about the carer they’re provided. Care service users As care service providers , ensuring that the care service user is comfortable with the care they’re receiving. We help them stay connected with family, friends, and communitySeniors who are isolated and lonely, have shorter lives and are at greater risk. We encourage and help them stay connected with their community.     As service users , you can also contribute to having a better experience in your care by not only educating yourself but asking questions .We at Newdon Care want you to always feel comfortable to come to us with any queries or complaints, as we know that doing so will allow us to help you, and better your experience as action will be taken from any of your concerns or complaints when possible. Has COVID-19 impacted the way service users’ needs are met ? Admin COVID-19 has impacted care in a various amount of ways but as a care service provider we want to ensure that these changes do not negatively impact the quality of the care received. As I have been researching, one of the most recent areas for improvement that has been highlighted by the COVID-19 outbreak is the issue of unmet needs. As care service providers, we at Newdon Care we adhere to regulations given by the government, as well as our own policies to further ensure the safety of all carers and service users. The rise of these new rules and regulations has caused the we work to change .As the current public health status changes we suitable employ measures that promote safe delivery of care.The transition has been easier for some organisations (particularly those that were already practising flexible working) than others, but it’s all happened quickly and in an atmosphere that is hardly conducive to wellbeing. According to health.org.uk reducing hospital admissions, means that other areas of care have reduced risk of transmission of COVID-19, but this could further result in unmet health needs. As a care service user this may cause some worries, or concerns which is completely normal considering the unprecedented times we are currently living in. Trying to reduce the possibility of unmet care needs can be done through improving communication on our behalf as well as yours , which is spoken on more detail in another blog article “ Improving care in a home setting”. This is an example of one of the key steps necessary to improve quality of care, preventing unmet needs and disjointed care.
